Eastern European

Over the last 2 years we have had a growing link with Eastern Europe – where we have been working to support a UK Charity established to provide support to Foster families who take in Social Orphaned children

The main focus of this support has been in helping with various building and renovation projects and over the last few years we have sent out 3 teams of eager volunteers.

To-date the practical projects have involved – light DIY; decorating; gardening; laying floors; weatherproofing houses etc.

In 2010, we sent out 1 Tonne of aid, donated by members of One Church and friends in other Churches and organisations around Gloucester.  In particular we are grateful for the support of Gloucester City Homes – who raised over £500 to help with the project.  The aid reached its destination in October 2010 and is now being distributed to the various families supported by the Charity.
