Street Pastors

Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue. From February 2010, volunteers from a number of churches in Gloucester will be taking to the streets to work alongside the local council and police to engage with people in a unique way. Each volunteer goes through a training program to equip them for the project and includes topics such as drink and drug awareness, first aid, roles and responsibilities, counselling and youth culture.

Several people from One Church are volunteering as Street Pastors, for information on how you can be involved either as a Street Pastor or a prayer partner please contact the Gloucester office here.

Gloucester City Homes

Gloucester City HomesAs part of our growing partnership with Gloucester City Homes we are rolling out an exciting opportunity that’ll make a little difference in every council tenant’s home across the city. Around 500 people find new homes every year thanks to GCH and we are sponsoring a ‘Welcome Bucket’ to go into every single one of them – which includes some essentials like tea and coffee for the day they move in, along with a postcard that says “Have a cuppa on us!”.
